Before you write about an emoji

If an emoji looks different on your device than it does here, that is expected — every platform draws its own artwork for the same character.

If an emoji is missing entirely, it may not be in Unicode yet. Emoji are approved in yearly batches, and vendors ship the artwork months after approval.
