Guide
Emoji art and wallpapers
Emoji images big enough to actually use — transparent PNGs at 160px, vector SVGs, and the ones that look best on a black background.
Also searched as emoji wallpaper, emoji background, emoji png transparent.
Emoji images to download
Every emoji page has a download block with five versions of the same character: Apple and Google as 160px transparent PNG, Twitter/X and OpenMoji as true vector SVG, Facebook at 64px.
For wallpapers and thumbnails take the SVG — it scales to any size without going soft. For stickers and chat, the PNG is what you want.
01 — On black
Emojis that look best on a black background
Bright, high-contrast artwork that stays readable on a dark wallpaper or a dark-mode site.

Emoji mosaics
Grids of emoji that form a bigger picture when you zoom out. Works best with a single-colour palette — all reds, all blues — because emoji detail disappears at small sizes.
Text art
Kaomoji and ASCII art are built from characters, not emoji, so they render identically everywhere. The full set is on the emoji font page.
Licensing
The characters are free, the artwork is not. For anything commercial use OpenMoji (CC BY-SA) or Twemoji (CC BY) — both allow it with attribution.
FAQ
Emoji Art and Wallpapers — questions
Where can I download emoji as PNG?
Every emoji page here has a download block — Apple and Google artwork at 160px with a transparent background, plus SVG versions from Twitter/X and OpenMoji.
Are emoji PNGs transparent?
Yes. Every file on this site keeps its transparent background, so the emoji sits on whatever colour you put behind it.
Can I use emoji art commercially?
Only some of it. Apple, Google and Facebook own their designs. OpenMoji and Twemoji are open-licensed and safe for commercial use with attribution.
